Finish the part for each persons before moving onto the next part.

Part One

1. Study from the bottom of page 63 to the bottom of page 65 in the Big Book.

2. List all people, institutions, and principles you feel resentment towards.

Part Two

3. List all causes for the resentment. What happened and how did it make you feel? Be specific and thorough. Do not minimize to be "spiritual" or nice. Allow yourself to be as critical and judgemental as you honestly feel.

Part Three

4. Consider whether each cause affects your:
- Self-esteem
- Personal relations
- Material security
- Emotional security
- Sex (gender) relations
- Ambitions

5. List any fears involved.

Part Four

1. Study from the bottom of page 65 to the end of the third paragraph on page 67.

2. Say aloud: "__ is spiritually sick" followed by the resentment prayer:
"God, please help me show __ the same tolerance, pity, and patience I would grant a sick friend."

3. Putting out of your mind the wrongs the other person has done and disregarding them entirely, look for your own mistakes. Consider where you were selfish, dishonest, self-seeking, and frightened. List all the places you were to blame.

4. Consider times you have done the things you've resented in Part Two to the person listed in Part One and/or others.
